Boulder Community Health is seeking who is responsible for establishing and driving procurement of hospital and clinic supplies and services in support of business requirements for multiple sites. You will be responsible for procurement process including quotations, supplier selection, contract analysis, negotiations, order placement, material and service tracking, and problem resolution. This position coordinates the flow and acquisition of special ordered, patient chargeable, products to support efficient delivery of patient care

Qualifications- Associates degree preferred
- Current Colorado driver’s license preferred
- Three years purchasing experience, or similar field experience, is preferred
- Knowledge of hospital/medical business products and their usage is preferred
- Proficient in general computer skills such as data entry and e-mail (proficiency with Microsoft Office programs preferred).
- Familiar with purchasing and materials management practices, procedures, and contracting.
- Three years’ experience working directly with vendors/suppliers in a purchasing capacity is preferred
- Knowledge of inventory processes preferred
Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with vendor base, internal clients, management and maintain supplier contact information and resolve issues with special orders, invoicing, production defects, delivery times, and internal process delays
- Orders and maintains reasonable levels of specified inventory within the parameters set by the Director of Material Management.
- Maintains current purchasing, inventory, and receiving records on computer data base including current pricing.
- Coordinates special orders to be ordered in conjunction with inventory supplies to minimize number of purchase orders.
- Utilizes system for identification/tracking of back ordered supplies and investigate suitable substitutions.
- Work with internal team on requirements, need dates and work to support customer buying requests.
- Assists in organizing trials and returning unused stock to the vendor.
- Utilizes system to track product recalls and assist in follow-through of removing product from shelves/returning product.
- Work through issues/problems that arise using analytical and logical thought processes, correct issues as needed or required to eliminate reoccurrence.
