BMI Merchandise, founded in 1986 has evolved to become the amusement industry's leader in redemption technology and a top distributor of products. We source and distribute trendy toys, electronics, candy, gifts, and novelty items to amusement and family entertainment centers worldwide.

Buyer- ON SITE IN LAKEWOOD, 5 DAYS A WEEK

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing goods and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find suppliers that are more profitable.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Selects prospective reliable vendors and negotiate contracts.
• Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing & services.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
• Perform cost scenario analysis, and benchmarking
• Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
• Assist logistics process for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment and delivery, and returns on products.
• Keep detailed records, generate reports, and analyze data to help management understand the logistics perspective.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Previous working experience as a Buyer/Purchasing Manager for 6+ years
• Proficient in Netstock for inventory management, replenishment and demand forecasting
• Skilled at negotiation and networking
• 6+ years’ experience in the procurement of goods and the development and review of contracts
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Ability to gather and analyze data

• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company.
