Position Title: Buyer
Position Summary:
The Buyer position includes significant duties such as:
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policy and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, plan inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods and services, and supplier performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Research and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with vendors.
- Analyze market trends. Pricing and quality of products to ensure the best value for the organization.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations and best practices.
- Develop and implement new strategies for procuring, storing and distributing goods and services.
- Initiates return processes with suppliers, ensuring timely communication of Non-Conformance Material Reports.
- Ensure proactive communication with vendors to confirm order details, lead times and delivery expectations.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP system involving pricing, lead times, and other vendor changes.
- Flexible, adaptable and comfortable in a growing company, passionate about improving processes and contributing to a growing organization.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline purchasing practices and strengthen supplier relationships.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum three years’ experience in procurement or purchasing
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management or related field, preferred
- Certificate in procurement or supply chain management preferred
- Experience in vendor management and supplier relationship management.
- Proven track record of cost savings and process improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in ERP Systems (e.g. SAP)
