Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Buyer to join our supply chain team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sourcing, contract negotiation, and supply chain management, with proficiency in ERP systems. As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring the timely acquisition of quality materials to support manufacturing and operational needs. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and supply reliability.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery conditions while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory standards.
- Manage procurement activities using ERP systems in order to streamline purchase orders, track inventory levels, and facilitate materials management.
- Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or procurement issues to identify corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality management, and production planning to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Monitor supplier performance through supplier management programs, evaluating metrics related to delivery timeliness, quality standards, and pricing competitiveness.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications for audit readiness and continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, sourcing strategies, and supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems for procurement processes.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles including logistics, materials management, production planning, and inventory control.
- Knowledge of industry standards.
- Familiarity with procurement best practices including pricing strategies, quality management protocols, and contract management.
