Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Grocery Wholesale Buyer to manage purchasing, vendor relationships, pricing, and inventory levels for assigned categories. This role works closely with Sales, Warehouse Operations, and Accounting to ensure product availability and margin goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchase and forecast inventory for Grocery, GM, HBC, etc., categories
• Negotiate pricing, terms, promotions, and freight with vendors
• Maintain proper stock levels and address overstocks, shorts, and code-dated items
• Review sales, trends, and order history to determine purchase quantities
• Update pricing and manage cost changes
• Resolve vendor issues and discrepancies

Qualifications:

• 4+ years purchasing experience (wholesale grocery preferred)
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficient in Excel and ERP/WMS systems
• Ability to analyze sales data and manage multiple priorities
• Must understand case packs, units of measure, FIFO/FEFO, and code dating

Pay: $78,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
