As a Buyer Analyst, you will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, executing procurement strategies, and delivering operational excellence across assigned categories. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of parts and services, supporting Hillenbrand’s commitment to operational excellence, cost savings, and strategic growth.
What You’ll Do:

Deliver operational KPIs such as claim management, PO execution, exception message management, parts escalation and availability, invoice reconciliation, and buyer productivity.

Manage supplier relationships for vendors involved in day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring proper escalation when necessary.

Implement and operationalize category strategies and framework contracts; provide feedback and active input to Global Category Managers/Sourcing Managers to shape and improve sourcing strategies.

Achieve year-over-year savings and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers for assigned categories and vendors.

Fulfill the complete Procure-to-Pay process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Collaborate with Operating Companies (OpCos) and suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, and payment issues promptly.

Ensure compliance with PO policies and standardize procurement processes across the organization.

Manage master data related to procurement and contribute to MRP settings for procured parts, following guidance from the Global Materials Management (GMM) team where applicable.

Leverage analytics, tools, capabilities, and SOPs provided by the Center of Excellence (COE) and Excellence management to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

You will be part of the Global Procurement team, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain. Your contributions will support Hillenbrand’s strategic sourcing initiatives, cost management, and operational excellence objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Proven experience in procurement, supplier relationship management, or category management.

Strong negotiation skills and a track record of delivering cost savings.

Experience managing Procure-to-Pay processes and supplier performance.
-
Proficiency with procurement tools, ERP systems, and analytics platforms.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
-
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.

Experience working within a global manufacturing or industrial environment.

Knowledge of category strategies, framework contracts, and sourcing best practices.

Familiarity with MRP settings and master data management.

Certification such as CPSM, CSCP, or similar is a plus.
