About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Buyer Analyst. The Buyer Analyst is responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, supplies, services, and equipment. You will work as a liaison between the suppliers and factory stakeholders. The Buyer Analyst will manage and develop the relationship with the supplier to optimize cost, lead times, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary Maverick Power liaison with the supplier
  • Purchase materials, supplies, and services for the factory
  • Manage material priorities for competing projects
  • Daily engagement with project management, planning, and factory
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock
  • Update and maintain purchasing records and data
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers
  • Analyze market trends and purchase data for risk and opportunities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to mitigate supply risks
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure better pricing and terms
  • Resolve supplier related delivery and inventory issues
  • Resolve supplier payment issues
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or a High School Diploma with 10+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 7+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure maintaining a customer-focused mindset
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Must be able to travel domestically and abroad

Bonus Skills

  • Experience or knowledge in switch gear or other power distribution equipment a plus
  • Experience with Epicor Kinetic
  • Experience buying industrial breakers
  • Experience buying sheet metal
  • Project management experience

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.

Work Environment

May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
