Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role. We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful individual to take ownership of the buyer development process. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on independence, enjoys connecting with executives, and can confidently manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Buyer Outreach:
- Independently identify, contact, and qualify potential acquirors (strategic and private equity).
- Confidently initiate and manage conversations with senior executives.
- Drive outreach campaigns through phone, email, and LinkedIn.
Own NDA & Buyer Management:
- Take full ownership of NDA execution and tracking.
- Manage the buyer pipeline from first contact through handoff to senior bankers.
- Maintain accurate CRM/Excel tracking and ensure follow-ups are completed.
Marketing & Communications:
- Draft and distribute marketing emails, teasers, and correspondence.
- Ensure messaging is professional, consistent, and aligned with transaction goals.
- Support preparation of marketing materials, including buyer lists and summaries.
Research & Strategy:
- Proactively research industries, companies, and investors to build targeted lists.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior bankers.
- Monitor market news and deal activity relevant to active engagements.
Pipeline Accountability:
- Track and report buyer activity on a weekly basis.
- Take responsibility for ensuring no opportunities or follow-ups are missed.
- Act as the point person to keep deal processes moving forward.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, communications, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in business development, sales, or project management.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong record of initiating and managing conversations with executives and decision-makers.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize across multiple deals.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
- Entrepreneurial, resourceful mindset with a focus on results.
- Interest in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance is a plus (prior direct banking experience not required).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $50,000 – $90,000, depending on experience.
- Performance bonus/commission potential tied to transaction success and outreach results.
