Job Summary: Manages all procurement activities for assigned commodities in support of all business units.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develops and manages vendor managed inventory, long-term purchasing agreements, stocking plans and supplier contracts.
  • Develops and manages long term contractual purchasing agreements
  • Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers and recommends potential new suppliers (as needed)
  • Determine actions needed for supply chain risk mitigation.
  • Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operation.
  • Works with internal customers to generate and lead initiatives that will improve fill rates, inventory goals, and reduce the supply chain
  • Collaborates with appropriate internal resources to identify and implement projects that improve the value of the supply chain.
  • Participate in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Provide training to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team member
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years' work-related experience
  • CPM-Certified Purchasing Manager or CPSM-Certified Professional in Supply Management or CPIM-Certified in Production and Inventory Management preferred
  • Must have analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage projects.
  • Must have advanced computer and technological skills.
  • Must be proficient with verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent ability to meet deadlines and to work under time constraints.
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Must have valid driver's license and clean MVR.
  • Must pass background check and drug screen.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Vocational training or technical training preferred
