YOUR DAY TO DAY AS A BUYER II

As a Buyer II at PTI Technologies, you will manage the procurement of complex goods and services critical to our production efforts and lead New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives. This role involves executing timely MRP action messages and realigning suppliers to meet production schedules. You will utilize Microsoft Excel in a professional setting to analyze bids and prepare purchase orders. Your communication skills will be vital for handling supplier pushback and enforcing our procurement needs. Responsibilities include preparing Requests for Quotation (RFQ), negotiating terms aligned with PTI’s objectives, and managing supplier performance metrics.

You will assess market conditions to implement effective supply chain management strategies, collaborate with various departments for seamless operations, and ensure compliance with procurement policies. Your expertise in identifying problem areas and initiating corrective actions will be crucial in maintaining operational excellence.

ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS BUYER II JOB?

To succeed as a Buyer III at PTI Technologies, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with at least one year in procurement or related fields. A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including castings, forgings, and various operational service processes, is essential. Excellent language skills are required for interpreting technical documents and effectively communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
