Buyer II Job – Laser Equipment Division (Preco, LLC)

Preco, LLC is hiring a Buyer II for the Laser Equipment Division (LED) as a full‑time job based in Somerset, WI. As a Buyer II, you will support procurement operations by purchasing materials, supplies, and services needed for LED equipment manufacturing. This role focuses on vendor qualification, sourcing, negotiation, and maintaining accurate and timely purchasing documentation to ensure seamless project and production support.

Preco, LLC is a leading provider of advanced laser‑based manufacturing solutions. The Buyer II reports to the Project Support Team Manager and collaborates with engineering, production, project teams, and documentation groups. In this Buyer II role, you will manage assigned commodities, maintain vendor records, coordinate purchase order activity, and help ensure that all materials arrive on time to support equipment builds and customer deliverables.

Job Requirements:

• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain Operations, or related field, or 3+ years of purchasing experience.
• Proven ability to multitask successfully in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to read and understand fabricated part drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows‑based software applications.
• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Experience working with an MRP or ERP system (preferred).
• Prior purchasing experience with electrical or metal‑based components (preferred).
• Ability to evaluate bids, qualify vendors, and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate vendor files and purchasing documentation.
