Buyer - Interior Fit-Out Company

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Buyer to join our interior fit-out company. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, equipment, and services required for interior projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement: Source, purchase, and ensure timely delivery of materials, furniture, fixtures, and finishes required for interior fit-out projects

2. Supplier Evaluation & Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers; assess vendorsbased on quality, cost, reliability, and compliance with project timelines.

3. Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to achieve costefficiency.

4. Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels, track material usage, and ensure sufficient stock to avoid project delays.

5. Coordination & Collaboration Collaborate with project managers, designers, and site teams to understand project material requirements and ensure timely procurement.

6. Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier performance, delivery schedules, and expenditure; provide regular procurement reports to management.

7. Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, budgets, safety standards, and quality guidelines.

8. Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements without compromising quality.

9. Problem Solving: Address and resolve procurement-related issues, such as delays, shortages, or quality discrepancies, efficiently.

Requirements

Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably in interior fit-out, construction, or furniture industry.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Knowledge of market trends and suppliers in the interior/design industry.

Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software is a plus.
