Buyer - Maintenance, Repair, and Operations

Responsibilities:

• Prepare purchase orders and material transfer orders through the ERP system, placing orders for goods and services upon receipt of approved quotes or requisitions.
• Obtain and compare oral and written price quotes from MRO vendors, ensuring alignment with specifications and availability before placing orders.
• Conduct research, evaluate findings, and make independent procurement decisions in accordance with contract provisions and company policies.
• Review orders for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with purchasing guidelines.
• Perform goods receipts and timely processing of invoices based on vendor terms.
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, packing slips, and fulfillment.
• Assist the MRO group with reconciling non-project-related invoices and reports.
• Collaborate with departments on procedural tasks including cost savings initiatives, inventory control, supplier issue resolution, and sourcing projects.
• Demonstrate continuous improvement efforts by streamlining processes, reducing turnaround times, and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Maintain and update inventory and conduct monthly budget reviews categorizing GL account line items to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• BA Degree.
• 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in an MRO environment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems preferred (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Familiarity with invoice reconciliation, inventory tracking, and vendor communications.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese.

Pay: $72,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
