Buyer / Senior Buyer

Emerson Grace is a women’s clothing boutique rooted in discovery—of style, of brands, and of the people who wear them. We’re seeking a Senior Buyer with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a fashion retailing or wholesaling environment. We looking for someone with an independent and established point of view on the fashion landscape - trends, brands, and product. What you’ll do

• Lead our overall buying process from strategy to execution
• Work closely with our owner to build the overall buying plan, execution of our brand aesthetic and client experience through product in the full lifecycle, from market prep to performance on the sales floor
• Build the buying plan and track progress against it throughout the year
• Direct the buying process of tracking orders, managing product data, and ensuring accuracy across systems
• Analyze sales, trends, and customer behavior to inform future buying decisions and replenishment needs
• Lead vendor relationships - strategically through communication, follow-ups, and order management
• Manage weekly and monthly reporting on sales, inventory and vendor performance for internal review
• Partner with the sales and social team to ensure product is launched and presented thoughtfully
• Work on the store floor occasionally to integrate the client and sales team point of view into buying decisions
• Lead market preparation and post-market execution, building insight into how creative vision meets financial discipline
• Drive vendor trunk shows and event planning and execution

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience in a fashion buying, merchandising or wholesale field
• A passion in fashion, retail, and brand-building
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Excel, Joor, Nuorder and ideally, Lightspeed
• Experience and curiosity in using AI assistants (e.g., ChatGPT)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• College degree required
