Position Summary
The Used Car Buyer Apprentice – Outbound Appointment Setter & Buyer Support is a vital entry-level role within the Buying Division. This team member is responsible for generating off-street seller leads, making high-volume outbound calls and emails, and setting high-quality appointments for Senior Buyers. Additionally, this role provides day-to-day support to Senior Buyers to ensure they can stay focused on appraisals and closings.
Success in this role requires a sharp communicator who is humble, hungry to grow, and naturally in tune with people. You’ll be trained to follow proven outreach cadences, manage your personal scorecard, and support buying activities behind the scenes—all while preparing to evolve into a future Buyer role.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Communication & Lead Conversion

Make 100+ outbound communications per day (calls, texts, emails) targeting off-street vehicle sellers (B-road, private sellers, and warm leads).

Qualify leads and identify serious sellers using guided discovery questions.

Set 2–3 high-quality appraisal appointments daily for Senior Buyers.

Use defined cadences (Same Day Next Day Three Day) to manage follow-up and keep the pipeline active.
Support to Senior Buyers

Assist Senior Buyers with lead prep, appointment confirmations, and follow-up touchpoints.

Ensure each appointment is set up with accurate information and proper context.

Track scheduled appointments and notify Buyers of no-shows or reschedules.

Input notes and updates into CRM to ensure a smooth handoff from lead to Buyer.
Training, Process Adoption & Learning

Review and implement all resources in the Buy Center Manual and training calls.

Take notes in every meeting using a live document or notebook to track takeaways and questions.

Complete assigned training segments (e.g., final 14 minutes of a call) and participate actively in group learning.

Minimum Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

High-volume outbound call or customer-facing experience preferred (but not required).

Tech-savvy with tools like Google Docs, CRM platforms, and email.
