Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival with genuine enthusiasm and positive energy.
  • Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
  • Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about menu items, wait times, and event details while practicing excellent phone etiquette.
  • Assist guests with seating preferences, special requests, and accessibility needs.
  • Monitor guest flow during busy periods, managing waitlists and providing accurate wait time estimates.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards at the host stand and waiting areas, ensuring a welcoming ambiance at all times.
  • Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, turning any issues into positive experiences.

Experience

  • Previous host/hostess experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-first attitude are essential.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management.
  • Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS enhances efficiency but training will be provided if needed.
  • Experience in hospitality or hotel guest services is a plus, demonstrating your ability to deliver exceptional guest relations.
  • Knowledge of serving protocols, phone etiquette, and guest engagement techniques helps create memorable visits.
