Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cabinet Designer/Drafter to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise, functional, and aesthetically appealing cabinet designs that meet client specifications and project requirements. Your expertise in drafting and design software will be essential in translating concepts into detailed plans, ensuring seamless communication between clients, project managers, and manufacturing teams. Duties
- Develop comprehensive cabinet designs using advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and ArchiCAD, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Create detailed schematics, technical drawings, and 3D models for custom cabinetry projects utilizing SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate ideas into functional design concepts that optimize space and usability.
- Prepare construction documents, shop drawings, and material lists that facilitate efficient manufacturing and installation processes.
- Utilize Bluebeam for markup review, document management, and seamless communication across project teams.
- Assist in system design and interior layout planning to ensure cabinetry integrates harmoniously within overall architectural plans.
- Support the drafting process with graphic design skills for presentation materials and client proposals.
- Review technical specifications and ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Designer or Drafter with a strong portfolio showcasing cabinetry or interior design projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, 2020, and SketchUp is essential.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling tools.
- Knowledge of construction processes, schematic development, mechanical design principles, and system integration within architectural projects.
- Experience working with drafting standards related to interior design, mechanical systems, or graphic visualization enhances your candidacy.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
