Cabinet Estimator (Millwork/Cabinetry)

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cabinet Estimator specializing in millwork and cabinetry to join our innovative construction team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind accurate project cost assessments, ensuring our projects are financially successful from inception to completion. Your expertise will help translate design concepts into precise estimates, facilitating seamless project execution and fostering strong client relationships.

Duties

  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop comprehensive cabinetry and millwork estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to understand project scope, design intent, and budget constraints.
  • Utilize estimating software such as Cutlist Plus and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals that include materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
  • Analyze project plans for potential risks or cost overruns and implement effective cost control measures throughout the bidding process.
  • Prepare detailed bid packages, including pricing breakdowns, scope of work, and contractual terms aligned with project requirements.
  • Assist in contract review and support project management teams during construction site visits to ensure estimates align with actual progress and costs.

Skills

  • Proficiency in construction estimating tools such as Cutlist Plus and Bluebeam for accurate bid preparation.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of construction estimating principles specific to millwork and cabinetry projects is a big plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of contracts, project management practices, and cost control strategies within the construction industry.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams, presenting estimates clearly, and negotiating terms confidently.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
