Cabinet remodel estimator

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cabinet Estimator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing cost estimates for custom cabinetry and millwork projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Your expertise will help drive successful project bids, foster strong client relationships, and contribute to the overall profitability of our projects. Duties

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents using 2020 software to develop precise estimates.
• Collaborate with clients and suppliers through negotiation to secure favorable pricing and terms for materials and services.
• Utilize Quickbooks or similar construction estimating tools to compile detailed cost analyses and bid proposals.
• Prepare comprehensive estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs for cabinetry and related millwork components.
• Conduct site visits to gather on-site measurements, assess existing conditions, and verify scope of work for accurate costing.
• Assist in managing contracts by reviewing scope of work, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and supporting project management teams.
• Monitor project costs throughout construction to support cost control initiatives and ensure budgets are maintained effectively.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on cabinetry or remoleling projects.
• Strong proficiency in 2020 for markup and document management.
• Familiarity with Quickbooks or comparable estimating software is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, site management, and project lifecycle from bidding through completion.
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, cost control strategies, and project management principles.
• Prior construction site experience is a plus, providing insight into on-the-ground realities that influence estimates.
