Cable Cut & Prep Assembler

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of this position is to manufacture cable assemblies, cable carriers and cable management solutions through programing and operating the Schleuniger MS9650 cable cut machine.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Program & operate Schleuniger MS9650, training will be provided.
• Read and interpret work instructions, bill of materials & drawings
• Ability to use measuring devices including calipers, measuring tape, & rulers.
• Good understand of machinery work flow including minimizing machine down time and optimizing the flow of products.
• Maintaining a work area to 5s standards
• Previous experience operating & programing machinery through a computer is strong desired
• Familiarity with metric & imperial length measurements
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Team Leader
• Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Perform other duties as requested by Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Manual dexterity and good eyesight are required for completing orders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Carefully read and interpret documents such as: work orders, wire and cable specifications and procedures to ensure order is completed correctly.
• Perform basic math functions - add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• High School Diploma or (GED) equivalent
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be available and willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to satisfy customer needs.
• Follow directions carefully to complete the orders correctly.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
