Besomi Electronics is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Cable Harness Assembly & Repair Specialist with proven, practical experience in building, inspecting, repairing, and validating electrical and electronic cable assemblies. This role is strictly for candidates who have worked directly on the shop floor, handled real production builds, verified BOMs, and performed rework and repair on cables and harnesses to meet quality and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on assembly of cable harnesses, wire looms, and connector assemblies based on engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Perform cable cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, heat-shrinking, labeling, and continuity testing using proper tools and equipment.
- Verify and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) against drawings and physical builds; identify missing, incorrect, or incompatible components.
- Conduct repair, rework, and troubleshooting of defective or damaged cables, connectors, and harnesses (e.g., broken wires, poor crimps, insulation damage, connector failures).
- Inspect completed assemblies for workmanship, accuracy, and compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and internal quality standards.
- Document build results, test outcomes, rework actions, and deviations accurately.
- Follow safety, ESD, and quality procedures at all times.
- Work closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues, suggest improvements, and support root-cause analysis.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or technical certificate in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of proven hands-on experience in cable and wire harness assembly (not theoretical or supervisory only).
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Manual crimping and soldering
- Connector installation and replacement
- Cable inspection and repair
- BOM checking and material verification
- Strong ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings.
- Familiarity with workmanship standards and quality requirements.
Preferred
- Experience in industrial electronics, robotics, aerospace, defense, or automation environments.
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or working knowledge.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices.
