Part-Time CAD Designer: The Fireplace Whisperer, Cast Fireplaces isn’t just about selling fireplaces; we're about crafting a feeling—the warmth of a hearth, the centerpiece of a home. We're looking for a Part-Time CAD Designer to help us bring these visions to life. This isn't just about drawing lines; it's about translating dreams into detailed, buildable realities. If you've got an eye for design and the technical skills to back it up, we want to talk. Your work will be part-time, about 20 hours a week, and based on-site at our office in Northwest Houston. You'll be a key part of our small, dedicated team, where your ideas and expertise won't get lost in the noise. Your Mission: Bring Precision to Passion You'll be the bridge between our client's vision and the final product. We're looking for someone who sees the big picture but obsesses over the smallest details. You’ll be responsible for making sure our custom designs are not just beautiful, but also structurally sound, code-compliant, and ready for our skilled artisans to bring to life. What You'll Be Doing:

• Translating Vision: Take concepts and sketches from our design and sales teams and transform them into precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
• Preventing Problems: Anticipate and flag potential issues before they hit the shop floor. Your keen eye for detail will save us time, money, and headaches.
• Keeping It Clean: Ensure all drawings are accurate, organized, and ready for manufacturing and installation teams.
• Collaborating for the Win: Work closely with our team to refine designs and troubleshoot challenges.

Qualifications & Required Skills:

• Can Do: You've got experience as a CAD Designer and are confident in your abilities.
• Software Savvy: You're proficient with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit).
• Detail-Oriented: Your work is clean, accurate, and precise.
• A Natural Problem-Solver: You’re not just a drafter; you're a thinker who can find solutions and improve processes.
