CAD Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Designer with experience in civil and structural design to join our dynamic team. This position requires frequent travel (approximately 80%) to project sites, client offices, and partner locations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in both office and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed CAD drawings and models for civil and structural projects, including site layouts, foundations, structural framing, utilities, and stormwater systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field staff to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
• Conduct site visits to gather data, verify conditions, and coordinate directly with clients and contractors.
• Revise and update designs based on field observations, engineering feedback, and client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and company design guidelines.
• Maintain organized drawing files and project documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in Drafting, Design, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
• 5+ years of CAD design experience in civil and/or structural projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural drafting software.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and design standards.
• Experience preparing drawings for stormwater management systems (detention, retention, drainage networks).
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 90% of the time.

Preferred

• Experience with surveying data integration and construction field layouts.
• Knowledge of steel and concrete structural detailing.
• Prior experience supporting design-build or EPC projects.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
