CAD Designer

A & S Engineers Inc. is an established private company offering Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering and Commissioning Services. We have offices in San Francisco and Walnut Creek and currently have an opening for a full-time experienced CAD Designer to join our Walnut Creek office. The candidate should be highly organized and able to self-manage in a changing environment, have excellent attention to detail and computer skills and be a thoughtful and attentive communicator - both verbally and in writing.

The person in this position will be responsible for producing floor plans, schedules and specifications via AutoCAD. The designer will work directly with principal engineers to create quality drawings that meet the firm's design and technical standards. We work as a team to complete work on several different building projects every day from small school modernization projects to state-of-the-art corporate headquarters from early design through construction.

The designer must be an organized and responsible team player who can manage jumping from project to project. The designer will manage coordination of projects; furthermore, an ability to communicate with clients through email, phone and face-to-face meetings is key.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience with AutoCAD
• Skilled at multitasking and organization
• Basic understanding of architecture and MEP systems
• Familiarity with Revit program is a plus
• Willingness to learn
• Electrical engineering background is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
