Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical and system designs using advanced CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in construction and manufacturing, utilizing a broad range of technical skills and software expertise.

Starting pay is based on experience and ability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop precise 2D and 3D CAD models, schematics, and technical drawings for mechanical systems, assemblies, and construction projects.
  • Utilize software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Autodesk Inventor to produce detailed designs.
  • Incorporate ASME codes & standards into design processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Create technical documentation and technical writing to support design concepts and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to develop innovative solutions aligned with client needs.
  • Assist in drafting construction schematics and assembly instructions for manufacturing or construction purposes.
  • Support design reviews by providing detailed drawings and technical insights.

Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, system design, and mechanical knowledge.
  • Experience with Schematics creation, Mechanical design, Drafting, Assembly processes, and 2D animation.
  • Knowledge of FEA analysis techniques for structural integrity assessments.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes & standards for mechanical components and systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
  • Excellent technical writing skills for creating clear documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in complex design environments. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented CAD Designer eager to work on challenging projects within a collaborative team environment that values innovation and precision.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44.5 per week
