Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CAD Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and innovative computer-aided design (CAD) models and technical drawings that support various projects across construction, manufacturing, and system design. Your expertise will drive the development of detailed schematics, assembly layouts, and 2D/3D models that meet industry standards and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex mechanical and structural designs while working with cutting-edge CAD tools and software.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D schematics, technical drawings, and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and other CAD software.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to translate conceptual ideas into accurate digital representations aligned with project requirements.
- Ensure all designs adhere to ASME codes & standards, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and relevant industry regulations.
- Create system designs, assembly instructions, and technical documentation supporting construction and manufacturing processes.
- Utilize FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools to evaluate mechanical strength and performance of designs when necessary.
- Maintain meticulous records of design revisions, technical specifications, and drafting standards for quality assurance.
- Support technical writing efforts by preparing clear documentation, reports, and instructions for manufacturing or construction teams.
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical design or CAD drafting within engineering or construction environments.
- Proficiency in multiple CAD platforms including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and Pro/ENGINEER.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and ASME codes & standards related to mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts such as schematics, system design, assembly processes, and technical drawing conventions.
- Familiarity with FEA analysis tools and 2D animation techniques to enhance design presentations.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and produce accurate CAD models aligned with project goals.

Pay: $26.51 - $31.92 per hour
