Job Title: CAD Design Operator – HVAC (Air Conditioning, Ventilation & Pipe Services)
Location: Kidderminster / Hybrid Working

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependant on experience
Role Overview
We’re looking for a skilled CAD Design Operator to support the design and delivery of HVAC systems, including air conditioning, ventilation, and pipe services. You’ll produce accurate technical drawings and collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and ready for installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 2D and 3D CAD drawings for HVAC systems (ductwork, pipework, plant layouts)
- Interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and site surveys into detailed drawings
- Coordinate designs with other building services (electrical, structural, architectural)
- Revise drawings based on feedback, design changes, and site conditions
- Prepare fabrication and installation drawings, including isometrics where required
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and project specifications
- Maintain organised drawing records and version control
- Support project teams during design, tender, and construction phases
Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD; Revit or similar is an advantage)
- Experience in HVAC design, including ductwork and pipe services
- Understanding of building services coordination and layout principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Engineering, Building Services, or CAD Design (e.g. HNC/HND or equivalent)
- CAD certification or relevant training (preferred)
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with BIM processes and clash detection
- Familiarity with industry standards such as CIBSE guidelines
- Experience working with contractors or within a construction environment
