CAD Designer / Drafter (MicroStation and OpenBuildings)

ELECSYS Engineering Group is seeking a results-oriented CAD Designer/Drafter to produce high level Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Controls drawings in MicroStation and OpenBuilidngs. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with various staff members to meet scheduled deliverables.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work with Mechanical, Electrical, Communications and I&C Engineers and Designers in coordinating the generation of accurate, presentable engineering drawings, including one line diagrams, risers, equipment and conduit/piping plans, schematics, schedules, P&IDs, etc., from redlines or other design schematics provided.
• Work with external parties (clients, vendors, consultants) to coordinate all project specific CAD related work and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Responsible for understanding and implementing project specific design and program requirements.
• Work in conjunction with Project Managers to meet scheduled deliverables.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be highly proficient in MicroStation and/or OpenBuildings software
• Proven ability to produce Engineering Drawings.
• Strong time management skills, and a sense of ownership and responsibility for all work products.
• Communicative, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and dependable.
• Ability to communicate effectively, understand project scope, and complete designated work on time.
• Must show attention to detail with ability to multitask, work efficiently, and work under pressure of deadlines.
• Must be comfortable working with Microsoft Office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
