CAD Designer - Entry-Level/Trade School Graduate

This role is ideal for trade school graduates or individuals with basic CAD knowledge who want to grow in the construction and fenestration industry. While CAD experience is preferred, we're willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates initiative, technical ability, and a strong work ethic. As a CAD Designer, you will create architectural drawings and technical designs using CAD software, supporting the project management and installation teams. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret architect-issued plans, specifications, and details Communicate consistently with architects and builders to clarify design intent Draft shop drawings in Cornerstone's format, ensuring accuracy and consistency Iterate and issue revisions; maintain accurate as-builts and version control Help improve drafting systems and workflows for greater efficiency Coordinate with project managers and field teams for constructability checks and dimensions Submit shop drawings for approval and notify the team when shops are signed off Support material takeoffs and submittal packages as needed Qualifications Basic CAD software knowledge and the ability to read construction plans Completion of a trade school program in drafting, CAD, or a related field is preferred 0 to 2 years of CAD or design experience (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply) Strong computer skills and technical aptitude Detail-oriented with the ability to work under deadlines Willingness to learn and grow into advanced CAD responsibilities Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Compensation & Benefits Full-time position, W-2 employee role.
