CAD Designer/Drafter

Structural engineering firm seeking a full time CAD designer for in-person work. This is an in-office job, not remote. The designer’s responsibilities will include using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and REVIT, to create construction documents. Designer will work directly with Engineers who provide the detailed information for the document. Designer may be required to assist Engineers in field visits, as necessary. Designers will interact with clients, both internal and external, and have some project management responsibilities related to issuing deliverables, reviewing shop drawings, and answering questions related to projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparation of clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings
• Basic knowledge of structural systems including foundations, framing, roofing systems, specification writing, etc.
• Adheres to Engineering CAD and BIM standards
• Makes recommendations for standards and drafting processes that improve quality, consistency, and efficiently.
• Assists with collecting data for reports and correspondence.
• Performs construction administration, drawing review, and response to RFI’s

Qualifications:

• 5 years experience in construction drafting, structural experience preferred
• Must have experience in AutoCAD and REVIT
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard office software
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, highly motivated with the ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, and solve problems
• Degree not required

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
