CAD Designer/Drafter (USC/GC)

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using various CAD software. This role is essential in supporting our engineering and design teams in the development of construction and mechanical projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in drafting techniques and possess a strong understanding of design principles.

Duties

• Develop and prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and Civil 3D.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to create accurate schematics and layouts for construction projects.
• Utilize SketchUp and NavisWorks for visualization and project coordination.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and project specifications.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback from project stakeholders.
• Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and related documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals by providing accurate drafting support.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and address any design challenges.

Experience

• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Civil 3D, SketchUp, and NavisWorks is required.
• Experience in mechanical design, drafting, construction documentation, and schematic development is preferred.
• Familiarity with 2D animation techniques is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
