CAD & Web Designer

Job Summary
Rail and Stile is a growing custom furniture company based in Raleigh, NC. We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented CAD & Web Designer to help us translate technical concepts into functional 2D/3D models and elevate our digital brand presence.

In this unique dual-function role, you will split your time between developing detailed technical drawings for our products and designing/maintaining our company website. You will work closely with both the engineering and marketing teams to ensure our technical designs are accurate and our digital platforms are visually engaging and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

CAD Design (approx. 50% of time)

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D designs and layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, etc.)
• Collaborate with carpenters and project managers to gather exact product or structural specifications.
• Translate project specifications into precise, production-ready technical drawings.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback to rectify errors or improve manufacturing/construction efficiency.

Web Design (approx. 50% of time)

• Design, maintain, and code the look and feel of responsive web pages on our B2B/B2C website.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for new web features.
• Ensure website functionality, usability, and cross-platform compatibility.
• Manage brand consistency, updating sites with SEO-rich content and applying visual styling guidelines.
• Collaborate with the marketing and sales to align web design with overarching business goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education/Experience: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Aided Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• CAD Skills: Proven experience with design programs such as AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, or Revit.
• Web Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and platforms like Wix.
• Design Tools: Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Illustrator, Photoshop) for high-fidelity prototyping.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to pivot between technical drafting and creative web execution.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
