Key Responsibilities:

CAD-CAM Engineering:

• Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD-CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, Fusion 360).
• Design tooling, fixtures, and jigs to support efficient machining operations.
• Collaborate with design engineers to translate 3D models and technical drawings into manufacturable components.
• Simulate and validate toolpaths to ensure accuracy and minimize waste.
• Maintain and update digital libraries of parts, tools, and machining parameters.

Shop Floor Management:

• Supervise daily operations of the machining and assembly areas on off shifts.
• Setup & Run all production machines when required.
• Coordinate production schedules, workforce allocation, and machine utilization.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor KPIs such as cycle time, scrap rate, and machine downtime.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).
• Train and mentor machinists, technicians, and junior engineers.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in CAD-CAM programming and CNC machining.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role on the shop floor.
• Proficiency in CAD-CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360).
• Strong understanding of G-code, CNC operations, and machining processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in firearms or precision component manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Hands-on experience with multi-axis CNC machines (3-axis, 5-axis, Swiss-type).
