This role supports Lucid’s design team across multiple domains — NVH, crash, durability, and manufacturing—by applying advanced CAE optimization techniques to reduce mass, enhance performance and guide design decisions. You’ll contribute to both current and future vehicle platforms.
Job Description: • Set up and execute structural optimizations (design space, constraints, objectives, etc.) • Interpret results and propose manufacturable solutions • Perform subsystem and full-vehicle level optimization (stiffness, stress, mass) • Apply multi-domain and multi-material optimization strategies • Use tools like OptiStruct, NASTRAN, Hyperworks, BetaCAE • Collaborate cross-functionally to balance performance across attributes • Provide design guidance during concept phases • Script in Python or TCL (a plus)
Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s (or higher) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering • Minimum 4 years of experience, with 1–2 years in optimization • Strong FEA fundamentals and CAE optimization knowledge • Familiar with OptiStruct/NASTRAN, Hyperworks, BetaCAE
