Café Barista

We are looking for a new team member for our amazing cafe program at Wild Hare! As part of the Medusa Brewing Company family, Wild Hare aims to celebrate the beauty that lies in our human connections, while crafting flavorful and whimsical espresso drinks, food and beer!

We are looking for a an excellent part-time Barista who has a passion for hospitality and coffee! We aim to create exceptional guest experiences and love to go above and beyond. The ideal candidate for this job will someone who is excited be the face of our cafe program and is looking for a workplace that is inclusive, educational, collaborative and creative!

Our ideal candidate will be available for up to 16 hours per week, must work weekends between the hours of 8am-4:00pm, have at least 1+ year of barista experience and be 18+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Wild Hare space with special attention to sanitation and order
• Craft beverages that follow company standards and quality
• Greet and ensure all guests have a warm, welcoming experience
• Engage with guests in a sincere and friendly manner
• Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
• Make recommendations and provide helpful suggestions
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Issue bills and accept payment

Skills/Requirements

• At least 1+ years barista experience
• Passion for artisanal products like coffee, tea, beer, etc.
• Teamwork oriented and focused
• Weekend availability
• Hands-on experience in cashier duties
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• Punctuality and consistent attendance
• Effective communicator
• Patience and customer-oriented approach
• Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
• Responsible and trustworthy
• High school diploma is a plus but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
