Cafe Associate

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Associate to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and customer satisfaction, with experience in various aspects of the food industry. This role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting while providing outstanding service to our customers.

Duties

• Prepare and serve food, beverages, and coffee bar items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for order processing and cash handling.
• Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, including upselling menu items and addressing inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Assist with bussing tables, restocking supplies, and maintaining an organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, performing basic math calculations as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on sales and upselling techniques.
• Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and safety regulations in the food industry.
• Experience in quick service restaurant or coffee shop settings is advantageous.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail math tasks.
