Cafe Counter and Prep

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting in the daily operations of our café. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

(Required to be over 18 and must work weekends)

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders, providing recommendations when necessary.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and food safety guidelines.
• Food Prepration- handling knives and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including dining spaces and kitchen equipment.
• Dishwashing
• Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Assist in restocking supplies and reporting any shortages to management.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Skills

• Knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry is essential.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or café setting is preferred.
• The ability to multi-task is required.
• Cash handling skills with an understanding of basic math for accurate transactions.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for the food industry and a willingness to learn new skills related to making food from scratch and café operations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
