Cafe Manager

Job Overview
Bonjour Bakery & Bistro seeks a passionate and dedicated Manager to join our team at our vibrant café. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing high-quality beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction, assistant manager duties included:

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the POS system efficiently to process orders and handle transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, dining areas, and equipment. Sloppy individuals need not apply.
• Assist customers by providing menu information, answering questions, and making recommendations based on their preferences.
• Assist with custom cake orders and wedding order inquiries
• Assign stations, oversee coffee grinder maintenance schedule and manage inventory
• Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers.
• Admin duties include emailing customers, helping with scheduling and hiring
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry or café setting is mandatory.
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow effectively.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor to engage customers effectively.
• Rotating schedule includes opening and closing shifts, rotating Saturday shifts (we are closed all Sundays)
