Cafe Manager/Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to help us reopen our Cuban Cafe and once opened oversee the daily operations. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of Cafe Management expeirence. They must have a passion for coffee and food service, along with strong leadership skills to manage staff (once up and running) and ensure an exceptional customer experience. This role requires excellent time management abilities, and proficiency in cash handling. They must know the ins and outs of how a cafe works and they must have the ability to work very closely with vendors. this person is required to have their ServSafe for managers cartification.

Duties

• Oversee daily operations including inventory management, food preparation, and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the café.
• Manage cash handling procedures, including processing transactions accurately using Aloha POS or similar systems.
• Develop and implement promotional strategies to enhance customer engagement and increase sales.
• Monitor café performance metrics and make adjustments as needed to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Foster a welcoming environment for customers, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
• Find and work closely with vendors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years previous cafe experience is a MUST
• ServSafe for Mangers Certificate is required.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and food handling practices.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers, vendors and staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
