Job Summary
Must hold an active California Bar license in good standing.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law, including estate planning, family law, and litigation. This position requires excellent research and writing skills, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate on behalf of clients. The Associate Attorney will work closely with senior attorneys to provide high-quality legal services and support to our diverse clientele.
Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and estate planning documents.
- Represent clients in negotiations and litigation across various practice areas, including civil litigation, landlord-tenant law and family law.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and development while maintaining effective communication with clients throughout the legal process.
- Manage case files and maintain organized documentation in a law office setting.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting practice areas.
Skills
- Proficient in legal research techniques and familiar with legal databases such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Strong writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents.
- Excellent negotiation skills to advocate effectively for clients' interests.
- Knowledgeable in multiple areas of law, including estate planning, family law, environmental law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, and personal injury law.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous legal administrative experience is preferred but not required.
