California and Arizona HR Contractor (10-20 hours per week)
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager on a contract basis to complete and optomize our HR functions across the organization in California and Arizona. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence talent hiring strategies, enhance employee relations, and ensure compliance with employment laws. As a key member of the leadership team, you will drive HR initiatives that support organizational growth, foster a positive workplace culture, and streamline HR processes. Your expertise will empower our teams to achieve their full potential while maintaining operational excellence.
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, including talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational design.
- Oversee employee onboarding, orientation programs, and ongoing training & development initiatives to promote continuous growth.
- Manage employee relations by addressing conflicts, conducting performance evaluations, and facilitating effective communication across departments.
- Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, OSHA standards, workers' compensation policies, and other regulatory requirements.
- Administer benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies while managing payroll systems Paylocity and Netchex.
- Lead HR sourcing efforts to attract qualified talent through strategic recruiting practices.
- Deliver HRIS data collection and analysis, process improvement projects, and HR program management to optimize efficiency.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of California employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, workers' compensation procedures, and benefits administration.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee evaluation, performance management, and succession planning.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with effective communication and presentation abilities for engaging senior leadership and teams.
- Demonstrated ability in managing conflict resolution, change management initiatives, and process improvements within human resources functions.
- Skilled in data analysis for HR metrics collection and reporting to inform strategic planning decisions.
- Supervisory experience leading HR teams with a focus on employee relations and program management in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
