California Managing Broker Real Estate Sales & Property Management

We're a fast-growing real estate company with 150+ agents and a property management division managing 2,000+ doors across California. We're looking for an experienced California Managing Broker to oversee broker compliance across both divisions. This is a fully remote role.

About the Role

This role carries real responsibility. You'll be the person agents and staff come to when compliance questions arise, when risk shows up, and when the DRE needs to be satisfied. The operation is large, it moves fast, and we need someone who can keep up without cutting corners.

You'll work closely with leadership to make sure the brokerage runs clean across both sales and property management while we continue to grow.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Serving as the California Broker of Record for a 150+ agent sales team and a 2,000+ door property management operation. Ensuring full DRE compliance across both divisions. Overseeing agent supervision, license management, and proper documentation practices. Managing trust accounting compliance on the PM side. Handling DRE inquiries, audits, and complaints if and when they arise. Partnering with leadership on risk management and company policy. Staying current on California real estate law and communicating relevant changes to the team.

What We're Looking For

Active California Broker license is required. You've been a managing broker or broker of record for a real operation at scale, not just a handful of agents. You have deep, hands-on knowledge of DRE regulations and what proper supervision looks like across a large team. You understand property management compliance and trust accounting requirements. Experience navigating DRE audits and managing risk at volume is a must.

This is not an entry-level role. We need someone who has been in the thick of it and knows how to protect a growing organization.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $90,000-$110,000 depending on experience, plus 15% bonus eligibility. Fully remote position. Professional development support.
