Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented California Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support across a broad spectrum of legal areas, including estate planning, contracts, immigration law, family law, and landlord -tenant law. Your expertise in legal research, case management, document review, and drafting will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our law office. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and other legal research tools to support various cases and legal strategies
  • Assist attorneys with document review, drafting contracts, pleadings, and legal correspondence with precision and attention to detail
  • Manage legal case files using document management systems
  • Prepare and proofread legal documents, transcriptions, and reports while maintaining high standards of accuracy
  • Support project management tasks related to estate planning, environmental compliance, or litigation cases by coordinating schedules and tracking deadlines
  • Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses as needed to gather pertinent information for case development
  • Perform administrative duties including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and maintaining organized office workflows

Requirements

  • Proven paralegal experience with a strong understanding of multiple legal areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, and landlord -tenant law
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms including LexisNexis
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with clarity and professionalism
  • Ability to perform detailed proofreading and transcription tasks accurately
  • Familiarity with document review processes and contract management procedures
  • Exceptional clerical skills including data entry, filing systems, phone etiquette, and administrative support functions
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research and provide clear summaries for attorneys’ review
