Call Center Agent (3rd Shift)

Overview
We are looking for a call center agent who is reliable and has a positive attitude. The position is for 3rd shift (11pm-7am) at a small, family-owned company that’s been in business for over 35 years. You’ll be working with a diverse staff in a cooperative atmosphere.

This is NOT a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Handle dozens of calls per hour for a wide range of different companies.
• Take messages with accurate information and correct spelling.
• Dispatch messages according to client's preferences.
• Follow scripted call flows and carefully read all instructions.
• Assist callers with inquiries and issue resolution.
• Transcribe voice messages.
• Utilize multiple programs to enter customer inquiries and work orders for different clients.
• Maintain good call control and a professional, courteous attitude.
• Meet the efficiency goals for timely call handling.

Requirements and Skills

• Strong verbal communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Above-average reading comprehension skills.
• Basic computer skills including familiarity with Windows, email, and navigating websites.
• Ability to multi-task, switching between different applications and multiple computer screens.
• Comfortable typing and working at a computer all day
• Ability to empathize and demonstrate patience with difficult callers.
• Willingness to learn and take constructive feedback.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in customer service is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
