Call Center CSR (Day Shift/Inbound/No Sales/No Collections) Potential Work From Home After Training

One Call Concepts is hiring Contact Center Associates at our Davenport, Iowa office. In this role, you’ll answer inbound phone calls and online requests from excavators, homeowners, and utility owners. You’ll gather details, document information accurately, and use maps and written procedures to help process locate requests across several states (including Iowa).

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys a steady pace of inbound calls, likes typing while talking, and is comfortable working with maps and details—without sales or collections.

Schedule

• Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (may run later depending on workload). Team members are assigned a set schedule that falls within these days/hours, and we’ll work with you to build a schedule that fits your availability during that window. When call volume is slow, we may be able to excuse staff to step away for personal errands—when operational needs allow.
• Overtime: May be required during busy periods based on customer demand
• Weekends: Not regularly scheduled; Saturday overtime may be available depending on workload
• After training, you will be scheduled a full or part-time shift, with opportunity/need for overtime (additional hours) as business requires.

Paid Onsite Training (Required)

Training is paid and held in person at our Davenport office.

• Length: 3–4 weeks
• Training schedule: Full-time hours required, even for part-time applicants

Work From Home Opportunity (After Training – Not Guaranteed)

After successfully completing training, employees may be evaluated for work-from-home eligibility. This is not automatic and depends on overall performance, including attendance, quality, and productivity, plus having a suitable home workspace.

• Have reliable high-speed internet
• Meet performance and attendance expectations
• Company provides equipment for approved work-from-home employees

What You’ll Do

• Answer inbound calls and respond to internet requests professionally and efficiently
• Ask clear questions to gather accurate excavation/location details
• Document information while speaking with customers (multi-tasking is key)
• Read and interpret policies/procedures, manuals, and maps
• Stay calm under pressure and help control the direction of calls with tact and diplomacy
• Follow schedule and compliance requirements in a contact center environment

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, you must have:

• Strong verbal communication skills (grammar, enunciation, pronunciation)
• Strong listening, observation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to de-escalate stressful situations and remain professional
• Basic computer skills and general keyboarding
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM
• Reliable attendance and ability to adhere to a work schedule
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability and willingness to work overtime when customer demand requires
• Comfort reading and interpreting written procedures and maps
