Call Center Representative

Osceola Community Health Services (OCHS) is currently seeking to fill this position at our FQHC. OCHS operates multiple Community Health Centers throughout Osceola County that are accredited by The Joint Commission for Ambulatory Care and Primary Care Medical Home.

This is an entry-level call center position in the Dental department. Applicant must be able to work flexible hours between 7:30am to 6:30pm. Responsible for the following functions:

Answers all incoming calls by the third ring, assesses patient needs, enters or updates demographic information on new and existing patients. Verifies eligibility for services and insurance information.

Informs patients of pending balances and collects payment over the phone, records on patients' accounts and prepares daily cash reports as needed.

Organize and maintain patient records, filing and assuring proper forms are used pursuant to OCHS policy. Completes insurance listing verification and ensures follow- up calls are made to schedule patient follow-up exams, treatments, etc. per insurance guidelines.

Completes all follow-up calls on patients needing a follow-up appointment per provider. Document and ensures notes are placed in the electronic health record.

Requirements:

* Bilingual

* Experience in a medical office environment

* One (1) year of experience in customer service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
