Call Center Representative

DFD Russell Medical Centers (DFDRMC) operates three community health centers in Maine. We are seeking a full time Call Center in our Leeds location. This is a telephone customer service position.

Our health centers serve a multicultural, rural population of about 10,000 patients and have a family practice focus serving pediatrics to geriatrics. We have integrated behavioral health, care managers, a patient assistance coordinator and an excellent clinical support staff.

Our call center staff handles numerous phone calls a day performing a variety of daily tasks from scheduling, message taking, routing calls to the correct person. Our staff is cross trained to handle many aspects of patient care, so we are looking for a self-motivated individual that is interested in providing the best possible healthcare to our patients.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Medical office experience preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Proficient spelling and computer skills
• Ability to project a pleasant and professional image even under stressful situations
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others
• Ability to organize and accomplish multiple tasks and to have the flexibility to meet changing demands on a daily basis
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff
• Knowledge of healthcare field and medical office protocols/procedures
• Skill in performing medical office tasks appropriately
• Minimum one year experience working in a medical facility.
