Job Overview
K’s Personal Transport is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Transportation Dispatcher / Call Taker to support daily operations. This role is responsible for coordinating both non-emergent and emergent medical transportation, managing incoming calls, and ensuring efficient scheduling and dispatch of ambulances and chair vans. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and able to stay composed when in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Answer incoming calls from patients, healthcare facilities, and partners
- Schedule and coordinate non-emergent and emergent medical transportation
- Dispatch ambulances and chair vans while adapting to real-time changes
- Communicate effectively with field staff and provide operational support
- Maintain accurate trip records, logs, and documentation
- Maintain HIPAA compliance
- Monitor schedules to ensure timeliness and resolve delays as needed
- Opportunities for cross-training with proven ability to multitask
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize when in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency (scheduling systems, email, data entry)
- Prior experience in call center operations or healthcare preferred
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
