About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Calypso Developer to join our financial technology team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Calypso architecture, APIs, and trade lifecycle management within the treasury domain. This role requires a strong background in front-office trading systems, settlement, and risk management, with a focus on delivering robust solutions in a real-time trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Calypso applications supporting treasury products such as FX, Money Market, Bonds, Repos, Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, and Credit Default Swaps.
  • Develop and enhance integration points using Calypso APIs, REST Framework, and real-time messaging protocols like FIX and Kafka.
  • Understand and implement workflows, scheduled tasks, engines, and trade lifecycle events within Calypso.
  • Support and optimize core modules related to front-office workstations, pricing sheets, and transaction processing.
  • Collaborate with business users and risk teams for trade validation, settlement, accounting, and reporting.
  • Ensure system stability, perform troubleshooting, and implement enhancements in accordance with business requirements.
  • Engage in analysis and implementation of risk and limit modules such as ERS, SACCR, FRTB, and others as applicable.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of Calypso platform experience in trading/treasury environments.
  • Strong understanding of Calypso architecture, including core components and APIs.
  • Extensive experience with Calypso APIs for integration and customization.
  • Deep knowledge of treasury products including FX, MM, Bonds, Repos, Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, and Credit Default Swaps.
  • Solid comprehension of trade lifecycle management, settlement, accounting, and reporting processes.
  • Experience with scheduled tasks, workflows, engines, and front-office modules such as Calypso Workstation.
  • Proficiency in Core Java and Oracle Database management.
  • Working knowledge of REST API frameworks.
  • Experience with real-time integration protocols such as FIX and Kafka.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Calypso ERS (Limit/Risk Module), SACCR, FRTB, or similar risk modules.
  • Knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with additional front-office trading tools and modules.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Prior experience in financial institution technology teams supporting treasury/trading desks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
