Cinematographer / Director of Photography (DOP)/Videographer
A Videographer is responsible for translating the director’s vision into visually stunning images. They oversee the camera and lighting teams, ensuring that every shot enhances the storytelling through composition, movement, lighting, and framing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the director to understand the creative vision and mood of the project.
- Plan and execute the visual style of a film, commercial, or video production.
- Select and operate cameras, lenses, lighting, and other equipment.
- Supervise camera crew and lighting technicians to achieve desired visual effects.
- Work with production designers and gaffers to create appropriate lighting setups.
- Determine camera angles, movement, and framing for each scene.
- Ensure proper color grading and exposure levels for consistency in post-production.
- Manage schedules and budgets related to cinematography.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in camera operation, lighting techniques, and composition.
- Strong knowledge of filmmaking techniques, cinematography principles, and equipment.
- Proficiency in industry-standard cameras (ARRI, RED, Sony, etc.).
- Experience in working with post-production teams for color correction and visual effects.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to on-set challenges.
- Creative vision and strong storytelling skills through visuals.
